CHINA BANS DISPLAY OF MUMMIES 3,800 YEARS OLD

A museum in Philadelphia, United States (U.S.) has canceled an exhibition of a 3.800 year old female mummy from China.


The cancellation was made because the Chinese government requested that the mummy is not displayed to the public.

Prior to this, the mummies were found in the Tarim Basin, western China's Xinjiang autonomous region located in the Uyghur has exhibited in several museums in Texas and California.

With the discovery of the mummy, it has attracted Western scholars to study because it has the physical characteristics of the Caucasian man who may have come from eastern Europe and moved to China.

The exact cause of why the government of China requested the mummy is not displayed is still a mystery
